Dear Family & Friends,
Hello. How are you? This month was great. We tore out our old driveway and helped with the project. It was cool to learn how to level the ground and lay cement and learn new skills. Our neighbor Dennis Terry was the one to spearhead the project and we are so grateful for his help.
We went to the Saratoga Springs Temple open house which is definitely my favorite Temple now. I love the location and the houses surrounding the temple. I now want to live there when I'm older. It is a beautiful temple and It was actually my second time going to this open house. I went with the ward last month.
Fathers Day was this month as well. I'm so grateful for my dad. He has taught me how to work hard and be a man. He has taught me about car maintenance as well and he is my favorite gym buddy whenever we get the chance to go together. Thank you for being such a big part of my life Dad.
I turned 18 this month too. On my birthday we went to Teppanyakis for lunch and then went to the grid to do go kart racing after lunch. It was great and a cool new thing to try. I had some friends over later that day and had cake and ice cream. It was a great birthday.
Another awesome thing I did this month was taking a trip to Japan with my Japanese class from high school. It was such an amazing experience and I'm grateful that I was able to experience a new culture and visit an awesome place that I had been wanting to visit for awhile. We visited some awesome places on our trip there such as Hakone National Park, The Golden Pavilion, Himeji Castle and The Hiroshima Peace Park to name a few. I got to meet new friends while I was there and had a great time there. I definitely want to go back to visit later in the future again. I hope you all have a great summer. Bye.
Love, Eric James Barnhisel
