November Letter

Dear Family & Friends,

Hello, how has your month been. Mine has been great. Me and my dad went to do an escape room at Alcatraz Escape Games. We did a Harry Potter escape room and were successful. We had a great time and the room was so cool. We had to get a couple hints but it was really fun.

We went to St. George for Thanksgiving break. We had a great time there and had a great Thanksgiving dinner. It was warm down there and we had all of our cousins over on my Dad's side. There were some great parks down there too.

We went to Snow Canyon and got some good pictures. We climbed rocks and found caves. It was awesome.

At the end of November, we went to another escape room for my dad's birthday. It was also a Harry Potter one. We didn't escape this one but we still had a great time there. We had to get a ton of hints this time though. We ate at Archibald's restaurant before and had a great dinner.

I am doing really good in school and getting great grades. I have some good friends at school and I have a lot of fun with them. I hope you have a good December and some good holidays. Bye.

October Letter

Dear Family & Friends,

Hello, How have you been. I have been doing great. This month my family and I went to Gardener Village. We had a great time there and Brandon got his first job there! We had a fun time looking at all of the awesome decorations they had set up for Halloween. I had an awesome time there.

 We had our schools fun run this year. Instead of doing the old boring thing, our school hired a company that specializes in fun runs for schools to run the Fun Run. We went outside and got color packets thrown on us. We had a great time running. They threw prizes to us to and I got a couple of prizes. I had a great time doing it and I'm sure everyone else did.

 Brandon's birthday was this month. He turned sixteen and has been driving me everywhere. I is really cool. He had a surprise party that his friends planned. We had fun surprising him. It was great.

 We had our schools Halloween dance this month I went with a few of my friends and we had a great time there. My friend dressed up as Baymax and my other friend dressed up as Jughead Jones from the TV show Riverdale. We had a great time dancing and eating food there.

 Our family Halloween party was this month too. Our family dressed up as Lumberjacks for Halloween. We got fake beards, axes, and red flannel shirts. We had a great time at our family party and spent a lot of good time with our whole family. It was great.

 We carved pumpkins. I first carved Jason at first but the pumpkin rotted so I threw it away. I then carved a spider-man pumpkin and it was cool. It was really small and white. We had a really awesome time carving our pumpkins this year.

I am part of our schools Peer Leadership program. I have so fun in that class and have made so many new friends. I am glad that I got put into that class. I also am doing very well in school and have good grades. I have a lot of friends at school and they are awesome. School was a little rough at the beginning of the school year but I think that I am used to school now. I hope you all have a good Thanksgiving and fall and have a great Christmas season. Bye.

September Letter

Dear Family & Friends,

Hi, How are you all doing. We spent a lot of time at our cabin this month. We went up the first week of September for Labor Day weekend. We went to the Mountain Man Rendezvous which was cool because we had not gone for a while. I brought money and bought a really old padlock and a Tomahawk hatchet. There was a ton of really fun and cool things there. We also found a 700 dollar sword.

Our Grandpa came up to our cabin on Labor Day weekend also. We had a lot of fun with him and we rode a lot of ATV's. We made fires and had a lot of fun. 

We went up this last weekend because we had a long weekend. The leaves up there start falling like a month before they do down here in Salt Lake. Most of the leaves were on the ground and the ones still on the trees were yellow and red. We had a great time up there

At school, I am getting good grades. Our soccer team is really young and we have lost every game of the season. I am in Peer Leadership and we are doing a lot of awesome things for our school. I hope you have a great fall. Bye.

August Letter

Dear Family & Friends,

Hello, how are you all doing? This month we went up to our cabin two times. The first time we went we invited some of our friends with us. I invited my friend Ammon and Brandon invited his friend Devon. Up there we went fishing and boating on Bridger lake. We had so much fun up there.

I started school this month so we went back to school shopping. I got all the stuff I needed for all my classes.

I started eighth grade this month. My favorite class is my peer leadership. I also like my P.E class. I don't like my math class but I manage. I have a lot of new friends here and I am having a lot of fun.

This is the second time we went up to our cabin this month. We had a lot of fun this cabin trip too. We do a lot of whittling up at our cabin and we make a bunch of really cool stuff with our knives.

July Letter

Dear Family & Friends,
This month we went to get family pictures at thanksgiving point. We had a great photographer who took some awesome photos. We got a lot of great pictures of Sam. We had a great time.

 On fourth of July we went to Brighton ski resort to hike. We had a lot of fun. We met up with our aunt who was her husband and kids. Then we went back down, had a great breakfast of strudels and muffins. We brought up our arctic cat to go in the parade.

 We went in the arctic cat and threw candy with our cousins. We had a lot fun. They threw too much candy the go-a-round so we had no candy for the second lap.

 We went up to our aunt Lizzy and uncle Wyatt's house in Ogden and swam. We had a lot of swimming and later watched fireworks. Their house is up on a mountain so we got to see the whole valley lit up in fireworks. It was so awesome. We usually do the party at our house but I think we are going to do up up there from now on.

 I went to cowabunga bay with two of my friends, Tanner and Kade. We went for our orthodontists party. We go every year. WE had a lot of fun eating pizza and going in the lazy river and on slides. I won one of the raffles and got a gift basket.  We had so much fun.

 We went to the cottonwood heights pool which is a lot like the Kearns pool, except it is on the other side of the valley. They have platforms that we went off.  Sam now loves the water. We had a great time there.

 We got to go to the homestead crater to swim. The water was so warm and there was a great smell in the air. We used ropes to pull ourselves down into the depths of the crater but didn't get close at all. Some scuba divers came in while we were swimming and got really deep into the crater. It was awesome. 

Well, my summer is almost over. I have a week and a half left. I got my school schedule and went back to school shopping today. I want to do a lot of fun stuff on my last full week of summer with my family and friends. I hope you all have a great what's left of summer and a great fall. Bye.

June Letter

Dear Family & Friends,

Hello, how are you all doing? This month we started going to the temple every Tuesday morning. We get there pretty early and there are not a ton of people there. It is great to go to the temple every Tuesday morning,

We went on uncle Brian's birthday to spread his ashes in the mountains. It was great and we got to learn a lot more about uncle Brian. We spread his ashes on a cliff side. We had a good time.

I am doing track now. I have got first place in a lot of events. I like doing distance running, shot put, and long jump. I have practice every Monday and Wednesday and meets sometimes on Monday and some on Tuesday.

We went hiking in the mountains in the same place we spread Brian's ashes. It was long but really fun. Mom made a lot of fast videos of us walking and Sam had a great time hiking with us.

We have driven past an old abandoned car on the side of a mountain for years going up to the cabin. When we went up to the cabin we hiked up to the car. It was cool. The car still had the engine in it but a ton of the other parts had been striped from the car. We had a lot of fun.

My birthday was this month. I got of ton of cool stuff including a hoverboard. I had a ton of fun and we ate pizza and cake. We played dodge ball and watched black panther. We had a ton of fun.

This is the hoverboard I got. It is awesome.

We went to lagoon again with our Walker cousins. Our O'Berry cousins there too. We went on a ton of fun rides and ate a lot of good food. We went for our dad's work and had all you could eat food there. We had so much fun.

May Letter

Dear Family & Friends,

Hello, how are you? I am great. This month we had a Cinco De Mayo festival, we had cafe Rio and also had pinatas at the party I busted one of the pinatas and my friend busted the other. WE had a great time at the party.

We finished up our school soccer season this month. We got fourth place in our region. We had a great time playing soccer and we had a great team. We got these awesome red jackets for the season. The picture is below. We had such a great time.

We had a great mothers day. We went to church and had a great breakfast and a great dinner. I think mom enjoyed it a lot too.

We set up our trampoline and have been playing dodge ball on it. We have a ton of fun on our tramp. Sam also loves being on the tramp. He loves bouncing around on it. 

 We went to the cabin on memorial weekend. We had a ton of fun whittling, ATV riding, and hanging out. We went after our last day of school and came back on Monday. I am glad we did not move and have to give up the cabin. We have so much fun up there.

 I am out of school for the summer now. Me and my friends have been hanging out a lot lately. We went to a summer reading kickoff in the park and had fun, and after we were done with that, we had a our movie in the park. I hope you all have a great summer. Bye.

April Letter

Dear Family & Friends,

Hello, how were you this month? I was good. This month we had Easter. We had a great Easter Sunday and a party the day before. I got to hide eggs for all of the little kids and we had great food. It was a great Easter Sunday.

 For General Conference, we played our annual game and got lot's of candy. Conference was good and there were a lot of really good talks given. One of the speakers actually spoke at one of our stake conferences and he had a a great conference talk.

 We also went to wheeler farm. We took Sam to look at the animals. He had a great time looking at sheep, ducks, etc. It was really fun.

 We went up to the southern desert to go trilobite hunting. We stopped on our way in Eureka and went to this cool old church house. They use it now as a holiday house so it had a lot of entertainment in it. We found some good trilobites and had a really great time.

 Kyle had his tenth birthday over this month. He had a party with his friends and had a great time.

 Dad does so much for us, so we got him a Traeger grill for him. He didn't even know we go t it for him until the evening. He was so happy when he got it. We have used it a couple times and the meat we smoke on it is so good.

 We had a really great end of the soccer season. We won our last game against APA West Valley. We played great and ended up moving on to the playoffs. We are pretty good and hope to go far.

I like to hang out with my friends when I am not rushing around to activities. In school we are almost done with the year and are finishing up our common core curriculum. We end school on May 25th. Bye.

March Letter

Dear Family & Friends,

Hello, how are you? This month Sam had his first birthday. We ate cake and had a ton of fun. Sam was mad during part of it though. He cheered up when he got his presents. He got a ton of toys. He is so spoiled.

 I made the school soccer team. We have had four games in which we won one of them, tied, another, and lost two of them. We are not that bad but aren't good. I play forward, mid, and keeper and Kyle is our teams ball shag. He has to climb a ton of fences to get soccer balls that went over. We have so much fun at practice though.

 We had Uncle Brian's funeral this month. It was really sad but we know he is in a better place. Me and Brandon were pallbearers for the ceremony. We heard his obituary and stories about his life. It was really cool to hear the stories about him.

 We watched general conference over the month. There were so many great speakers in the sessions and we learned a lot of things about the church. My favorite was in the Saturday afternoon session. The speaker was Brian Taylor of the seventy. He spoke on how to come closer to Christ. He also spoke at our Stake Conference that had occurred earlier this year. It was so great to hear the speakers.

 We had an Easter party after the morning session. We had cousins over and had an Easter egg hunt. Me, Brandon and some of the older kids hid the eggs for the little kids. There was a ton of commotion but we had a great time.

My dad, me, and Brandon went to the priesthood session and watched it up by my dad's old house. We watched it with my dad's friend, his friends brother, and his friends dad. It was great because there was revelation in it. I hope you all have a great spring and a great Easter. Bye.
