December Letter

Dear Family & Friends,

Hello.  Are you doing good?  I am!  I did a Christmas concert at my school.  Before the concert we watched Charlie Brown Christmas.  The concert was good.  I sang "O Christmas Tree" in German and "Foom, Foom, Foom" and I did it in Spanish and English.  And I sang "I'm Gettin Nothin for Christmas" and the "Twelve Days of Christmas".

We went to Gardner Village for one of our advent activities.  Mom took lots of pictures but I was fine with it.  The lights there were amazing.

We made cookies with our friends Kade, Alex & Jace.  We got to eat one and me & Kade made cookies for Bishop Dean.  Brandon & Jace made cookies for Sister Hintze.  And Alex & Kyle made cookies for their friend Caoiss.  We also did giant gingerbread men for a different activity.

We had lots of snow so we played in the snow a lot.  Me and Kyle built a snow man and named in Bobby the Snowman (aka Bob).  Me and Kyle and Brandon had a snowball fight and it didn't turn out well.  I also made lots of snow angels.  And we went sledding and dad pulled the sled behind the 4-wheeler.

At our Christmas party, Santa came and I was on the nice list ... phew!  And we played downstairs with our cousin Sean's Mario Kart track.  It was fun.  We had a great time. I loved at the Christmas party that there was lots of food like chocolate and cookies.

On Christmas Eve we did our advent which was chimes and we put out cookies for Santa and we played lots of Wii.  We had a fun time playing Wii.  When we went upstairs we looked at the Santa tracker on the computer and he was almost to Utah so we quickly went to bed.  We got new pajamas and I like wearing them and I'm wearing them right now.  I had blue and green and Brandon & Kyle had red and blue.  On Christmas Eve, Grandpa Pat was with us.

On Christmas morning I opened my presents and I got: the game Headbandz, a camelbak, a helicopter and Skylanders Swap Force.  On Christmas we had a Christmas party and I ate lots of food there and had a great Christmas.

 We went to the Ice Castles in Midway.  It was a long drive but worth it.  I love the Ice Castles, they were amazing.  A guy made all of them.  There was lots of tunnels and secret passages.  They were cool and one time I almost got lost because they were so big.  I had a great time.

For New Years Eve we had spaghetti and meatballs and lemonade.  We built a fire in the backyard and made s'mores.  When we were all done we went back inside and watched the movie Turbo.  I like the part in it when at the end he gets his powers back.  My resolution for the new year is to stop teasing Brandon because I tease him a lot.  I am looking forward to 2014 to go on lots of trips and spend lots of time with my family.

I am having a fun time on the Wii.  I've already completed the whole game of Skylanders Swap Force.  My favorite guy in Skylanders is Washbuckler.  He has a gun that shoots piranha's out of it and a sword that hits bad guys like Greebels and Chompys.  I have a fun time building LEGOs in my room.  I'm sorting my LEGOs right now.  Bye.  I hope you guys have a happy new year.

November Letter

Dear Family & Friends,

Hi everybody!  We had Robot Day at school.  It was so fun!  The biggest one was Jax'.  Mine was medium and had a long pipe thru it's body as it's arms.  His name was Awesome Ro.  At school we got to look at each other's robots and lots of people came to see mine.  The most funnest part was when Ms. Protell's 3rd grade class came to see our robots.

Dad's birthday was awesome because he got Batman 2 for the Wii.  In this pictures dad's going nuts about his new game!

We got to meet Derrick Favors on the Jazz team.  He was really tall.  And he signed my jersey.

We played Turkey Bowl on Thanksgiving morning.  I was on dad's team.  I scored a touchdown.  Brother Harward cleared a path for me and I was able to make it into the endzone.  I had hot chocolate and a cinnamon roll.

On Thanksgiving we went to Grandma's house and we played some football with our cousins.  We also ate dinner there.  My favorite food there was the cheese ball with crackers.  After Grandma's we went to Grandma Norberg's for pie.  We had a fun time playing there and a great Thanksgiving.

We went to the Ute's game.  And ate lots of snacks.  The won 24-17.  We had an awesome time there.  We also saw my teacher Ms. Stokes.  After we went to Trolley Square and I saw my friend Skye.  It was a long game but it was an awesome game.  Go Utes!

October Letter

Dear Family & Friends, 

Hello!  This month we went to the beach in California.  I collected tons of shells with Kyle.  Brandon did his own collection.  I got lots of shells.  My mom & dad took me and my brothers to California.  It was awesome because we didn't know we were going.  

We also went to Disneyland!  I had a fun time doing all the rides like Space Mountain, California Screamin', Hollywood Tower of Terror, etc.  I had the most fun on Indian Jones.  You go on this little jeep and you drive around in the Temple of the Forbidden Eye.  I had a fun time at Disneyland and Downtown Disney where we got to go to the LEGO shop.  At Disneyland I bought a cool watch with Mickey on it.  

We had a Halloween party.  It was fun because we were all characters from Hotel Transylvania.  I was Frankenstein, Brandon was the wolfman, Kyle was Johnny, mom was Mavis and dad was Dracula.  We had a fun time eating doughnuts off the screen and watching The Croods and opening presents for Brandon's birthday.

Trick-or-Treating was so fun!  I was a zombie.  I got lots of treaks and I trick-or-treated with my friend Kade and with my dad.  We stayed out until close to 9:00 and got so much candy.  Trick-or-Treating was fun because after I got home I got to give candy to the Trick-or-Treaters and eat some candy.

School is going great!  I have a nice teacher and on Halloween in class we got to carve our class pumpkin.  We shaped the eyes like A's, a triangle nose and dracula teeth for the mouth.  My favorite subject in school is art because I get to learn how to draw fun things like fish, farms, and other stuff like that.  My best friends there are Caleb, Jacob, Xan, KP, Carson and Sean.

I have a fun time at my house playing with my brothers and playing with my LEGOs and having a great time.  Hope you have a great time.  Bye!

September Letter

Dear Family & Friends,

Hello!  How are you doing?  This month we took family pictures.  I did something really funky.  I look like I have a secret. ;)

This month we went to the cabin twice.  The first time, over Labor Day weekend we went to the Mountain Man Rendezvous.  And my dad bought me a gold compass and we had a fun time running around playing. This year we went to the rendezvous with Weylan & Cole.  They are my awesome cabin cousins.  I go up to their cabin a lot when I am up there and play with them.  We like playing LEGOs and Wii there.  And I have a Aunt Ginger (their grandma) and she is really awesome!  She likes to build stuff with us like tree houses and forts.

Speaking of forts ... We build a floor for our fork out of bricks.  It's really cool but we haven't finished it yet.

We also went fishing at the cabin.  I caught one fish that was really big and we ate it.  Brandon caught a cut throat and Kyle caught two fish.  We had a fish fry at Aunt Ginger's cabin.  See I told you she's awesome!!

And I started baseball this month.  It's really fun and I really like to do it.  And I have games on Thursdays and Tuesday.  I play on the Phillies with my friend Kade.  I have a really fun time playing baseball with Kade. We usually fight over who is first base because first base is fun.

I go to Hawthorn Academy and I really like art there.  I have a friend named Jacob.  Sometimes we get crazy but then we calm down a lot.  I have a fun time at school with all my friends.  I have a really cool teacher named Mrs. Stokes.  She is awesome!!  I like drawing her pictures and she hangs them up on her wall.

August Letter

Dear Family & Friends,

Hello.  This was my last month of summer.  I had a great time going to the pool and swimming with my friends and going to the indoor pool too.  And I really like to go off the high dive at the outdoor pool.  And I went with my friend Jacob one time.  I had a great summer.

I went to the Norberg reunion.  We blew lots of cool bubbles and we had a fun time eating and having a good time.

My Grandpa Don came down and we went to a car show and I earned lots of prizes and I got a snow cone. And me and Kyle had a fun time playing at the park.  I had a fun time seeing grandpa and we had a great time with my grandpa.

We went to a drive in movie theater.  We sat in the back of the truck on a mattress and watched "Planes".  And we brought tons of junk food.  We brought popcorn and Starbursts.  We had a really great time there.

This month I also started school.  On the first day I had a really great day.  We went to get doughnuts and then we went to school.  My teacher's name is Ms. Stokes.  I have a friend in my class named Jacob Hall.  In my class we are learning cursive writing.  I am in 3rd grade and I like to play soccer at recess a lot.  I play soccer with my friends: Caleb, Preston, Kaden, Jimmy, Xan and sometimes with Jacob.

I like Minecraft and it's a fun game where you can mine stuff and you can like mine diamond and gold and emerald and you can build houses and you can create stuff.  And you can build a castle like I did.  I built a huge castle that has three giant rooms.  I had a great summer.  See ya soon.  I hope you have a great fall.

July Letter

Dear Family & Friends,

Hi.  We went to Silverlake for the 4th of July.  We played on the rocks and ran around.  And then the parade started and people threw candy at you.  We had a fun time.

That night we had a BBQ and our neighbors were making snow cones and I ate 4 of them.  And we watched the fireworks.  We did fireworks and our neighbors did fireworks and we watched the city fireworks show from our backyard.

I got baptized this month.  It was great.  I got to go in warm water.  It felt really good to be baptized.  

And when I turned 8 I started scouts too.  I went to cub camp.

At cub camp we did archery, sling shots, obstacle courses, scary stories and digging for bones.  On the 2nd day of cub camp we went to Super Hero Academy and we did BB shooting and finger printing and bottle rockets and we did a trading post called The Hive.  And we had a great time!!

We also had our neighborhood bike parade.  We rode our bikes to our house and had otter pops.

We had our cousins visit and we went to Allstar Lanes and did bowling.  We did games and my name was Cool Skeleton and Ender Dragon other random things.  We also went to the pool and played LEGOs and Minecraft.  

I got a pool pass and I go there everyday and I can go off the high dive.  And then we went to Seven Peaks with our friends the Dailey's and did tons of water slides.  And I did the giant blue slide called Thunder Mountain.

What I like to do is playing Minecraft, LEGOs and Pokemon.  And I like to play with my brothers.

June Letter

Dear Family & Friends, 

Hi!  Have you had a great summer so far.  This month we finished up school ... 2nd grade!  On field day we played tons of games and ate Otter Pops.

Then we came home and had a big End of School party in our backyard.  We ate pizza and candy and did sprinkler under the tramp and had a little pool.  My friends there were named Xan, Kade, Jimmy, Jax.  We had about 30 kids there.  It was Awesome!!  We had fun in the water and then we went in the front yard to play kickball.

We celebrated Father's Day.  We had steak & lobster for dinner.  And we went to church and sung to dad.

We went to the cabin and we took lots of pictures and went on hikes and rode 4-wheelers around.  And after one hike we had a picnic with grapes, sandwiches and chips and skittles.

Our cousins Grace & Audrey came over for a few days and we went to the pool and played with them a lot.  They left on Wednesday.  

I spend a lot of time at the pool and this month I learned that I can go off the high dive!  I like to do cannon balls and gorges.  And on the low dive I can do front flips and jump off backwards.  And also on the high dive I can do a backwards cannon ball.

It was my birthday this month.  I turned 8!!  We ate cupcakes and ate pizza and did a pinata and opened presents.  I had an awesome birthday!

I went on the ward campout the evening of my birthday.  Mom made me a birthday cake and everyone sang to me at the campout. We rode our 4-wheelers and played with our friends.  We did a sawdust thing with candy and money in it.  We'd jump in the pile and search for the candy and money.  

My summer activities are going to the pool, playing with my friends and doing night games.  I like to play Pokemon and Minecraft.

May Letter

Dear Family & Friends, 

Hello.  How are you?  I am great.  I just got back from a cabin trip.  We rode 4-wheelers, played football and went fishing.  The 4-wheeling was fun.  It was my first time riding the 4-wheeler alone.  I like to ride 4-wheelers with my cousins, Tyler, Jadon, Jackson, Dylan, Brandon and my brother Brandon.  At the cabin we played football and I was on Brandon's team and we crushed Kyle and dad.  We went fishing and I caught three fish.  We put two back in the water and kept one.  I liked it up there and on Tuesday we left to come home.  

We only have 2 and 1/2 more days of school left and my mom is helping at field days.  My mom bought us swim passes.  I went to the pool and I saw my friends Jimmy, Jax and Asa there.  In the summer I plan on going to the pool a lot.  I am also looking forward to night games.  I like to play Pokemon and we do Pokemon battles a lot.
