December Letter

Dear Family & Friends,

 

Hello.  How are you doing?  I went to Macey's and saw Santa.  I told him what I wanted for Christmas.  I wanted boxing gloves.  And on Christmas morning I found boxing gloves under our Christmas tree! 

This year I decorated a Snoopy house.  I put Snoopy on the roof, sleeping.  And I ate some frosting with it. 

 

This month I played in the snow a lot.  My dad built a snowman.  And he hooked a sled up to the 4-wheeler and drove us around.  I like playing in the snow.

On Christmas Eve we had a party at out Aunt Cindy's house.  I liked the party.  I played with my cousins and got a LEGO set from my Grandma.  Then I went home and got Ninjago PJs.  I went to sleep and Santa came to my house!

 

I got boxing gloves for Christmas.  I like to play with my boxing gloves.  I like to box Kyle because Kyle got black boxing gloves.  And I got a poster of Samuel the Lamanite from my Grandpa Pat.  And I got the LEGO Ninjago Samurai Mech set from my mom & dad.  And I got $20 from my Grandpa Don.  I really like Christmas.

On New Years Eve we ate nachos and candy and we drank root beer and sprite.  We watched Diary of a Whimpy Kid and played the Wii.  We partied until 11:00!!!

November Letter

Dear Family & Friends,

Hello.  How are you doing?  I am doing great.  This month I played in the snow and made a snow city with my brothers.  And in my back yard, me and my friend Kade made a snowman.  My dad made an enormous snowman. 

 

We made a fire in our backyard and ate hotdogs and marshmallows.  I held my dog Chunky by the fire because he doesn't really like the fire sometimes.  But when I held him he was not afraid. 



I had a really good Thanksgiving.  I ate turkey, rolls and pumpkin pie.  My cousins Miriam, Marcus, Amelia, Vivian, Collin, Liam, Abby, Halle, Gwen & Austin came for Thanksgiving.  We jumped on the tramp and played in my room. 

We went to Wheeler Farm with the Sintay's.  We like it there because there is a big tree house that we can go in.  And we get to see animals.  We saw a chicken and we thought it only had one leg but then it put down it's other leg.  And we played at the playground at Wheeler Farm.  We played a game where there are some bad guys.  I was the first bad guy.  The bad guys tried to take over the good guys base. 

 

I went to Gardner Village to see the Elves.  We saw a Nice and Naughty list and my name was on the naughty list.  It's not really the real Naughty and Nice list.  We saw a lot of elves.  Then went home with our cousins.  I really like Gardner Village.

 

I am having a fun time at school.  I have Mock Community and Mini Mall days.  I really like it.  In Mock Community you do your job, like art, garbage man, detective, banker, etc.  My job is an Artist.  I really like art.  I draw pictures for people and they give me fake money.  Then on Friday we have to pay my teacher $4 to rent our space for mini-mall.  For mini-mall I do art.  I sell pictures and when people are not really coming to my mini-mall I go out and buy other peoples stuff.

October Letter

Dear Family & Friends,

Hello.  Five months ago I got my dog.  His name is Chunky.  I take him on walks and feed him food and water.  I like him getting on my bed and I rub him.  My dog likes playing fetch outside with my dad.  I love my dog.

 

I had Halloween this month.  It was very fun.  I was Ron Weasley from Harry Potter, Brandon was Harry Potter, Kyle was Draco Malfoy, my mom was Hermione and my dad was Hagrid.  At my family Halloween party we had doughnuts on a string and a lot of candy.  It was very very fun.  I had a Halloween party at my school too.  We did fun games and we did a Halloween parade. 



 

This year we carved pumpkins.  Mine had sharp teeth, triangle eyes and a triangle nose.  I did the design and my dad carved it.

I got a lot of candy trick-or-treating.  I like going trick-or-treating.  I went with my friends, Kade, Jace and with Kyle.  I went up to a lot of houses on trick-or-treating. 

 

This year I am in second grade.  I like my teacher because she is nice.  I like to play soccer at recess.  And there was this fun game I learned called Red Rover Red Rover.  I like it.  I like school.  At school I like doing math and spelling.  At my house I like building with my LEGOs.

September Letter

Dear Family & Friends,

 

Hello!  I went to my cabin 2 times this month.  I went to the Mountain Man Rendezvous.  I looked at a blacksmith and saw a bunch of cool weapons.  And they had little fake pop guns.  It was fun.  I had a big BBQ at my Aunt Kimberly's cabin.  I played in the creek with my galoshes.  We take little toys and drop them down into the creek and you have to catch them.  One was flowing all the way down the creek and I ran and grabbed and splashed into the water before it was gone forever.  It was a little knife/dagger thing.

The 2nd time we went to the cabin the leaves were all yellow and we went to a beautiful river.  And there were a bunch of rocks to cross.  Me and my cousin Weylan found a secret hideout.  The river was calm where we found our secret hideout. 

I brought my little dog Chunky up to the cabin.  I got him 3 months ago.  He is cute.  He is really fluffy and it's funny when he chases cows.  He chases squirrels and "chickmunks" too.  One time we let Chunky ride on the 4-wheeler with us.  It was fun.  He saw some cows and wanted to run after them.     

I built an awesome LEGO ship.  It was really cool.  It had a bunch of wings and weapons.  My mom took a picture of it.  My favorite LEGO thing is LEGO Ninjago.  I like Ninjago, Star Wars and Monster Fighters.  I like LEGOs. 

I like 2nd grade.  My teacher is great and nice.  My favorite subjects are math, of course, reading and writing.  I like to play soccer at recess.  But now I am in a secret spy team that my friend started.  We have a hidden spy book that we hide under the wood chips so the other boys wouldn't find it.  I started a friends spy club at my house.  I have 2 spy books and I came down and my mom saw me and I was wearing a belt with a little spy thing that I had and glasses and a book mark and a pencil on my belt.  My mom took a picture of me.  I looked cool in it.  And then I made a spy that says "Only Spys" and hung it on my door.

August Letter

Dear Family & Friends,

 

Hello!  I had a fun summer did you?  I like playing with my LEGOs. 

 

I started 2nd grade this month.  I like it.  It is going to be really fun.  I like all my new classmates.  My teacher is nice. Her name is Mrs. Eldredge.  We like playing games at centers time.  My best friends in my class are Xan and Jacob.  I like playing with them.

We went to the cabin this month and we built a clubhouse.  It was fun.  We took big logs and stuck them together and made a clubhouse and we made a roof out of a tarp.  It was fun.  We like making potions and putting them on our potion shelf in our clubhouse.  The potion shelf is by our old garden that dad cut down.  I also like to play with friends and cousins at the cabin.  We like to 4-wheel and fish and hike. 

I like playing with my friends like Asa, Kade, McCord and Ben.  We like to play LEGOs cause all of them have LEGOs.  We like to play hide-and-go-seek.  I like it.

July Letter

Dear Family & Friends,

Hello!  How are you doing?  Are you having a good summer?  I am.  I like to go swimming and play with my LEGOs and play with my new dog.  I like LEGO Ninjago.  I like going on the trampoline. 

On the 4th of July we bought fireworks, cool ones like the Jolly Roger and we had smoke bombs.  It was fun.  And my cousins came for 4th of July: Collin, Tyler, Jadon, Koen.  Uncle Jonah & Micah came also with Grandpa Pat.  I had fun.  My mom made a cake and it looked like a flag and my Aunt Cindy brought another cake and we had rice crispy treats.  Our fireworks were good and we went on the trampoline and watched more fireworks. 

We went on a trip to Beaver.  We caught lots of fish.  We caught 5 fish.  I like fishing.  And we camped in a humongous tent.  And our Aunt Amy, Uncle Brian and Aunt Cindy came up.  We had a heater so when we got dressed we got to get warm.  One time it was raining for awhile and we had to sit in the tent.  We went on a hike and we went on the 4-wheelers.

My cousins Miriam, Marcus, Amelia and Vivian came over and my Aunt Erin & Uncle Steve.  We jumped on the trampoline and played Fireball Island.  And we played an explorer game.  In the game, me and Marcus were cannibals and Miriam and Marcus were explorers.  And we played a game in the dark.  I like to attack Amelia in it.  We walk around with blankets on our heads.  And we played a different game it's where me, Amelia and Collin were explorers and Miriam, Marcus and Brandon were wolves who owed the cave and we had to run away and steal a jewel from the wolves. We had a fun time.

We brought Chunky to the cabin for the first time.  It was fun.  We set up his pully system so he could walk around without just being on his leash.  We had a fun time there.  We went on 4-wheeler rides and we took Chunky on a walk up to my grandpa's cabin.  We built forts up there.  We even led Chunky to our secret hideout.

June Letter

Dear Family & Friends,

Hello!  On June 1st I had my last day of 1st grade.  I had a party at Paige Butler's house after.  I had a fun time there.  I kept squirting everyone with my water gun. 

I had a fun time at the Erickson Reunion.  I had a fun time going up the mountain.  It was my cousin Tyler's birthday on that day.  I brought my light saber and played with Tyler with it.  I played with Aunt Emma and Jadon, we were playing soccer on a team.   

This month we celebrated Father's Day.  My dad got a new video game, Harry Potter Years 5-7.  We had a fun time on Father's Day.  For breakfast we had orange juice, sausage and French toast.  I loved the breakfast.

We got a dog named Chunky.  I like playing with Chunky and taking him on walks and petting him.  He is a very good dog and we are working on training him to sit, come and wait.  What I like about Chunky is he is cute and furry.

We hiked in Lambs Canyon.  I had a fun time on the hike.  We got sticks and ran down the steep trail and when we just started it there was a little stream and a little wooden bridge.  We like to hike in the summer time when it's really hot at home.

I turned SEVEN this month.  We had a family birthday party.  From Aunt Melissa I got a HERO Factory guy named Toxic Reapa, a KREO set and a cool space ship T-shirt that I am wearing right now.  Grandma gave me $10.  And from mom & dad a Ninjago spinner and the Wii game Michael Jackson the Experience. 

I also had a friend party at my house.  The best present that I got was a LEGO Avengers set from Uncle Brian who came right at the end of my friend party to see me.  With my friends we decorated cupcakes and then played water games in the backyard.  I had a fun time with my friends at my party.  The only friend that wasn't there was Joe who wouldn't come because he is scared of dogs which I think is weird because Chunky is really cute and doesn't bark really much.

During summer vacation I have been swimming a lot, that is why I am so tan.  I like going swimming.  Mom got me and Brandon swim passes so we can go over to the the pool whenever we want.  At my birthday party I got a lot of water toys and I like to bring them to the pool.  I like playing at the pool.

May Letter

Dear Family & Friends,

Hi!  How are you?  I like playing with my Yu-Gi-Oh cards and playing with chalk.  I like going to school, tomorrow is my last day of 1st grade.  I like my family and my friends.  I like to play with my friends at recess.  I play soccer on the blacktop.  I like playing on the blacktop.  I like PE at school. 

I went to Colorado to go to my Great-Grandpa O'Berry's funeral.  I like going to Colorado.  I like to see my Grandpa and my cousins.  I liked going to take pictures and eating McDonald's.  At the hotel we swam at the pool.  I liked getting on the turtle and putting my legs straight on the wall and then I push and I go really far and then I turn and turn and turn and we like throwing balls at Uncle Shane.  One time he dunked me into the deep part.  And he swam under water with Brandon on his back three times.  I liked sleeping at the hotel.  I liked playing with Kyle and Brandon there.  We jumped on the beds and played with our cousins.

At the cabin, me, Brandon and Kyle made little secret hideouts.  Mine was with bunny and Brandon and Kyle's were with their spots.  And we went fishing, we each caught one fish.  It was fun fishing.  I like to go to the cabin and play.  We even got to put bones in our hideouts.  I took bunny home with me.  I named him Bunny Barnes Barnhisel.  Brandon named his spot Spot Alexander Barnhisel.  I don't know what Kyle named his.  I like watching movies at the cabin. 

I am in soccer.  I am on the green team called the Green Ninjas.  We only won one time, it was 2-0.  Connor and Ozzi scored the goals.  I like going to soccer.  I like to pass to my friends.  It's like, if someone is in front of me trying to get the ball I pass it.  I like when our team gets goals. 

Today was Field Day.  We got to do five games.  There was Hoop It Up, Shot Put, Relay Race, 50-yard Dash, Chariot Races and Shoe Fly.  I like Shoe Fly the most.  And there was a Rest and Relax station where we got to have snacks and water and stretch.  And we got to have a class party for Mrs. Sherwood's retirement.  We got to take our desks to the gym.  I got to help take in one of the huge desks.  I can't believe that tomorrow is the last day of school.
